Karen Marie Jones

It is with devastation we announce the unexpected passing of our mother, daughter, sister, and friend Karen Marie Jones. Karen was born on June 8th, 1958 in London, England to William and Patricia Butler. Karen passed away on May 17th, 2026.

Karen always greeted everyone with a warm smile and a hello, whether she had known them for years or was meeting them for the first time. Karen was a light in this world, and the world is a little less bright without her. Karen went above and beyond to keep in touch and always checked in on others. She will be missed beyond words.

Karen is preceded in death by her father, William Butler. Karen is remembered by her loving mother, Patricia Butler of Prattville, AL. , beloved sister and brother-in-law, Bryan and Linda Strahan of Ruskin FL. Her 3 children that were the light of her life Erica Kirkley (Adam) of Prattville AL, Danielle Jones (Michael) of Prattville, AL, and Robert Jones (Melissa) of Homestead, FL. Besides being mom, Mimi was her next favorite title. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Eli and Aiden Kirkley; Noah, Everly, Liam, and Ella Gentry.

Karen was blessed with 2 exceptional groups of friends. She treasured her Water Works Girls, and looked forward to the times they spent together. Her Karamursel gals were her soul sisters and she treasured all their adventures, always looking forward to the next time they would see each other.

A Memorial Service will be held at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067, on June 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
