Kevin Scott Morris

February 15, 1961October 26, 2019

On Saturday night, October 26, 2019, Kevin Scott Morris went home. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Betty Anne Morris, and his twin brother, Gavin Morris. Kevin’s passing was unexpected, and his loss will be felt by a multitude of people who were blessed to know him during his 58 years on this Earth. Kevin had the uncanny ability to make you feel as if you were the only one in the world. He had a southern charm and wit that would disarm the most negative people and a smile that would light up not only the room, but your heart. And his laughter… if you were ever blessed to hear it, it stayed with you like a song. If you were around at Christmas, he would serenade you with O Holy Night, Silent Night, and even The Little Drummer Boy. You would also enjoy his famous divinity treats… they were truly a delight and an anticipated gift. But Kevin’s greatest gift was that of himself. Kevin’s heart and home were also open to family, friends, neighbors, and friends not yet met. His trust was given freely, and a confidence never forsaken. Kevin was a rare jewel in the crown of life and heaven is a little brighter. Our hearts ache from the loss as we go forward, but we rejoice in knowing that he is reunited with his beautiful mother and precious brother.

He was what we should all strive to be in our lives. He was my heart and my family, he gave me and so many others a place to call home. He listened without judgement and was always kind to everyone. The world is a little darker without him in it. My heart aches with his loss from us, but I know he's happy being reunited with his momma and his brother. They are probably sharing a cup of coffee right now. I love and miss you my dear friend.

Kevin was the sweetest, kindest, most generous man. He opened his home to everyone, and we all found love, warmth, laughter and good home cooking inside. I will miss you, friend, but I am so happy that you are with Gavin and your beloved Mama once again.
