Lila "Tootsie" Harris

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday June 2nd at the Prattville Church of Christ followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Ministers Brent Missildine and Raymond Elliott officiating. A private burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris was born on February 23, 1935 in Autauga County to the late Oscar Glenn and Oma Hand Glenn.

For many years she served as the secretary and co-owner of the family’s heating and air conditioning business. Mrs. Harris was a longtime member of the Prattville Church of Christ and will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and a kind friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hardy Hill ”Billy” Harris, Jr. in 1987.

She is survived by her five children; Diane Harris of Cullman, Pat Beasley and her husband Randy of Prattville, Mike Harris of Prattville, Mark Harris and his wife Della of Rio Rancho, N.M., Rick Harris of Prattville; a brother, Durwood Glenn and Barbara of Prattville; a sister, Myra Wyatt and her husband A.D. of Prattville; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Harris, Neil Harris, Matt Harris, Kristian White, Steve Harris and Ken Harris. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Childhaven Children’s Home, P.O. Box 2070 Cullman, Al., 35056, phone 256-734-6720.
