She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Nipper, and her father Larry Bernard. She is survived by two sons, Paul Nipper and Thomas Nipper; mother, Carol Bernard; sister, Cathy Knopp; four brothers, Ken Bernard, Terry Bernard, Greg Bernard and Mark Bernard. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 with Father McKenna officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Marilyn was a teacher at Elmore County High School. To share her love of children, her wish this holiday season would be to help a child in need. The family ask that memorials be made in her honor to a children’s charity.
