Marion "Danny" Daniel Howell Jr.

Marion Daniel Howell, Jr., (Danny) 67 of Verbena, Alabama, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born on March 29, 1957, in Montgomery, Al. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Elizabeth Howell.

Danny is survived by his sister/caregiver Jenice McMillan of Verbena, Al, and brother Carl Howell (Jennifer) of Millbrook, Al.; devoted niece, Crystal Howell. He is also survived by a niece, Lauren Knight; two great nieces, Laniyah Howell and Kamora Howell, whom Danny loved very much. Also survived by his two great friends, Greg Charles and Scott Godwin; and his loyal dog Bama.

Danny loved bowling, fishing, hunting, football, building model cars, and fixing things with his father. He participated in the Alabama Senior Olympics and Alabama Master games with his mother for decades and won hundreds of metals. He was a devoted Alabama fan. He was also an event helper for the Verbena Volunteer Fire Department.

There will be a graveside service for Danny on Friday, March, 21, 2025 at 2 PM at Shoal Creek Cemetery, Deatsville, Alabama. Serving as Pallbearers will be Greg Ward, Christian Rocha and the Verbena Volunteer Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elmore County Humane Society in Wetumpka, Al.
