Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Warren C. Huff and Helen Y. Huff; husband, Peter H. Freeman; and brother, Stanley Huff. She is survived by her children, Nathan P. Huff Freeman (Karen), Jacob A. Huff Freeman (Kim), Janelle Huff Freeman Hernandez (Paul), Josiah B. Huff Freeman, and Chris Freeman; stepdaughter, Lisa Freeman Anderson; grandchildren, David Hernandez, Ana Hernandez Hydrick, Mateo Hernandez, Emma Hernandez, Emily Freeman MacFarland, Brooke Freeman, Leah Mary Freeman, Joseph Freeman, Samuel Freeman, Aurora Freeman, John Freeman, Jack Freeman, Lindsey Freeman, Elijah Freeman, Caleb Freeman, Rose Freeman, Abigail Freeman, Joel Freeman, and Mercedes Freeman; and great-grandchildren, Adaline Hydrick and Aayla Hydrick.
Mary was an active member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a pianist for decades. She was also a nurse for the city of Independence, a teacher, and was active in her community with cub scouting and community service.
