HAMM, Mary, L., 77, a longtime Billingsley resident, passed away Wednesday May 9, 2012. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, May12 at the Billingsley Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Minister Wayne Smith and Pastor Wendell Kelly officiating, according to Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. Mrs. Hamm was born November 8, 1934 in Autauga County to the late Ross and Lillian (Headley) Marlar. She was a homemaker and was active in the Billingsley Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon Hamm, in 1998. Mrs. Hamm is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Hamm Townsend of Prattville, a son Joey Hamm and wife Karen of Autaugaville, two grandchildren, Samantha Hamm and Katie Townsend, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Burkhalter of Prattville, niece Jo Ann Burkhalter of Atlanta, and nephew, Randy Burkhalter, and special pet “Buddy”. The family would like to recognize Lynn Motley for her love, care and friendship. Visitation will be held on Friday eveing at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
