She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
A member of First Baptist Church of Posey's Crossroads, Mary Lou’s faith was a steady presence throughout her life. In both word and deed, she carried herself with a gentle spirit and a compassionate heart, offering warmth and understanding to those around her.
Mary Lou was a poet, and through that gift she gave voice to reflection, love, and the quiet moments that make a life meaningful. Above all, she will be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved the Lord and dedicated her life to her family.
Per Mary Lou's request, there will be a private ceremony for immediate family only.
The family requests donations be made to the Montgomery Cancer Center in honor of Mary Lou Buckner.
