Mary Stettler, 81, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away December 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her son W. Laine Hobbie. She is survived by her husband, Joe Stettler; son, W. Lance Hobbie (Sonja Cames); step sons, Todd Stettler and Ted Stettler and step daughter, Rennie Moody.
Mary was born as one of six children and even though her upbringing was simple it was rich in life, love and joy. She continued spreading that joy through her love of animals, nature and art. She was a skilled wood carver and nursed a multitude of injured wildlife back to health. But beyond that Mary was a loving mother, sister, wife and friend. If you knew her, you loved her. The world will be a lesser place without her in it. She will be greatly missed.
Graveside services for Mary will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Cemetery in Lowndsboro, Alabama with the visitation from 12:00 – 1:30 PM at Ridouts Prattville Chapel, Prattville, Alabama.
