Mary Ellen Turner
February 23, 1947 – July 24, 2018
Mary Ellen Turner, age 71, of Prattville, Alabama went to be home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday July 24, 2018. Mary Ellen was born February 23, 1947.
Miss Turner was preceded in death by her father, Joel Preston Turner; mother, Rosa Lee Shaneyfelt Turner Billingsley and step-father Bealie M. Billingsley.
Mary is survived by her sister, Elaine Jones (Frank) and nieces; Ashley Petrunic (Christopher) and their children Bennett and Caroline; and Julie Seamon (Jeremy). She is also survived by an uncle, Robert H. Jones, Sr. (Merle) of Auburn; step sister-in-law, Patricia Billingsley (James, deceased) and step-brother, Roy Billingsley, and many other relatives.
Mary worked in Woodlands at union Camp for over twenty years after retirement, she worked at Newton Oldacre McDonald and Animal Medical Clinic. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended the James Powell Fellowship Sunday School Class.
The family of Mary Turner wishes to thank Kay Hall and Mel Townsend for the faithful care and friendship they provided to her, and also Teresa Brown and the staff of Comfort Care Hospice of Montgomery. Mary Ellen Turner was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Vitiation for Miss Mary will be at Ridout's Prattville Chapel Tuesday, July 31, from 5-7 PM. A graveside service for Mary will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Big Springs Church Road, Billingsley, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prattville Autauga Humane Society.
