Mims "Pappy" Howard Wainwright Jr.

Mims Howard "Pappy" Wainwright Jr., 73 passed away unexpectently on Monday, December 4, 2017. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 9:30 AM until funeral service time at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel with Brother Joey Fine officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mims Howard Wainwright Sr. and Voncile Wainwright and his son James Phillip Wainwright. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Faye Wainwright. Together they had six children, Tony Wainwright, the late Phil Wainwright (Karen Wainwright Bonds), Michelle (David) Locke, Tonia (Steve) Harris, Angie (Danny) Webb and Stephanie (Jerome) Lightsey; grandchildren, Justin, Jordan and JonWorth Locke, Ashlee & Austin Alford, Chace Harris, Britton, Preston and Victoria Webb, Lauren (Josh) Turner, Jay Wainwright, James Howard, Laura, Bailee and Bentley Lightsey; great grandchildren, Hudson Locke, Caroline Turner and two more on the way; brother-in-law, Pierce Crowder; sister, Avon Wilson and niece, Helen Wimberly. Howard was one of the hardest working men known. He was dedicated to his family and he was self-employed and loved what he did. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and going to watch Alabama Football with his son. He loved going every April to "Mule Day" in Columbia, IN for the week. He loved the Autauga Academy Generals. Pallbearers will be Justin Locke, Jordan Locke, JonWorth Locke, Britton Webb, Preston Webb, Austin Alford, Chace Harris, Jay Wainwright, James Howard and Brian Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Gantt, Don Murphy, Ricky Ousley and Duck Wainwright.
