PARKER, Nell Tatum, 80 of Prattville, passed away Friday June 12, 2015. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday June 16th at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel followed by a graveside funeral service at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Lenny Bolton officiating.
Mrs. Parker was born in Autauga County on December 13, 1934 to the late Gene Tatum and Imogene Ott Tatum.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Parker, in 2013.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Jimmy and Beverly Parker of Prattville; a brother and sister in law Ernest and Lanette Tatum of Leeds, Alabama; a sister, Fay Poe of Las Vegas, Nevada; a devoted friend and caregiver, Samantha Kessel; two grandchildren, Jamie McWhirter and her husband Glenn, Jared Parker and his wife Alisha and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jared Parker, Payton Smith, Jason DeVaughn, Hunter DeVaughn, Sammy Russell and Bob Driscoll.
