

With hearts full of love and gratitude for a beautiful life, we announce that Pamela Hatfield Murphy, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 14,2026, after a brief illness. Pam lived her Life boldly, bringing joy, laughter, and kindness to everyone she met.
Pam was born on October 4, 1952, in Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clark Hatfield, Jr., and Mildred Evans Hatfield. From her earliest days, she possessed a steadfast work ethic, a generous spirit, and a quick wit, along with an innate ability to make anyone feel like an old friend.
Her greatest joy, pride, and achievement was her family. She was the devoted mother of Harold "Kelly" Murphy and loving mother-in-law to Shea Carroll Murphy. She was the world's proudest "Nana"to Wilson and Ella Murphy, who were truly the light of her life. She is survived by her five loving siblings, Deborah Drinkard (Lamar), Henry Clark Hatfield, III (Wanda), Dawn Webb (Dale), Charlene Williams (David), and Karen Hatfield Silas; her former husband, Buck Murphy (Jenny); lifelong friends Sharon Jones and Charles Bethea; a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family; along with "Jack," her beloved dog.
Pam's life was defined by her love for and pride in her work with Beasley Allen Law Firm, where she spent the past 25 years as a Medical Records Coordinator. The family extends their deepest thanks to Beasley Allen for their love and support over the past few months, and to Kathy, Peaches, and Nicole, her loving caregivers, for the gentle and compassionate care given to Pam in her final weeks.
Visitation and a celebration of Pam's life will be held on Thursday, June 18,2026 at 10:00 a.m., followed by the celebration at 11:00 a.m., at Ridout's Chapel in Prattville, Alabama, officiated by Pastors Tony Glass and Shawn Meeks. Burial will take place at Montgomery Memorial, 3001 Simmons Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36108, on June 18, 2026. Serving as Pallbearers will be Eli Williams, Dalton Silas, Carter Layfield, Chris Johnson, Austin Hatfield, and Chris Tribble.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Pam's love for all animals, donations may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
