With grateful hearts and deep love, we celebrate the life of Patricia Nelson. Born July 11, 1949, and meeting her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2026. Her friends and family knew her as “Pat “and at 77 years old, she left behind a legacy of unwavering devotion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Etta and William Frank Harris Jr and younger brother, Joe Michael Harris. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Nelson; brother, W. Lane Harris (Brenda); brother, Tony Harris (Tassie); brother, Bruce Harris; son, Kenneth Willis (Yvonne); daughter Lindsey Morgan (David); grandsons, Reed Morgan, Josh Vines and Zach Vines; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and beloved fur baby, “Rusty”.
Born and raised in Alabama, she carried with her the values that defined her throughout her life—hard work, humility, kindness, and an unshakable love for those she called her own. Though she lived a simple life, it was rich with purpose and beauty. Being the only daughter among four brothers shaped the compassionate yet determined woman she became. She learned early the strength and resilience that would become hallmarks of her character.
She had a gift for creating beauty with her hands and her home is filled with handmade crafts that reflect her creativity, patience, and loving spirit. Every piece serves as a reminder of the joy she found in making something special for those she loved. Her yard was another expression of her heart. Tending her flowers, carefully planting and nurturing them with the same love she poured into her family wasn’t just a pastime, it was where she found contentment and quiet happiness.
She will be remembered for a life well lived and a life marked by faithful love, humble service, quiet strength, and a heart devoted to God and family.
