My condolences to the Golden family. A few years ago Ralph approached me and engaged in a very reflective conversation about the early years of integration in Autaugaville. He and his family were trailblazers and participants in the transition of integration. He noted challenges they faced from friends, but nevertheless we both agreed, the opposers' worse case scenarios didn't prevail. I admire his candor and positive outlook. He was a good and authentic man.

Ralph, was a very caring man . I grew up living down the road from Ralph and his family . We would play together as kids and as we grew up and I moved away but whenever I came home he would stop and talk about old times if he saw me in the Vernon Field . Ralph loved his family and his community . I called Ralph over the Winter and we talked about old times and growing up just a few months ago . I will say to his family and friends to cherish the fond memories of Ralph and allow this to uplift you . He may be gone for here but will never be forgotten . God, called him home .

Sincerely , Larry Houser (friend)

He truly cared about us all. I haven't seen him in probably 30 years. But I appreciate the words of encouragement that he always gave. RIP to a good man.

I will always have fond memories of growing up as neighbors to the Golden family. James Ralph was always kind, respectful and caring to me and my family. When my parents passed James Ralph was there to extend a helping hand for whatever we needed. He had such a big heart. We will always be grateful and he will be greatly missed……

Sincerely,
Cheryl Houser
