

Richard Alan (Dick) Driskill, 66, a resident of Prattville, AL passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Richard Driskill and Mary Ruth (Shadow) Driskill. He is survived by his sisters, Cay Driskill Candler and Glenda Driskill; nieces, Jody Candler Jankoski (Jason), Maggie Candler Weaver (Tylor) and Melody Candler Davis (Robby); great nephews and nieces, Jay Jankoski, Jenna Jankoski, Tessa Weaver, Eli Davis and Kara Davis.
Dick was a graduate of Autauga County High School Class of 1977. He was the designated hitter for the high school baseball team and enjoyed playing First Baptist Church softball for many years. He and his uncle were longtime owners of Autauga Home Supply where he was well known for his knowledge and ability to find solutions to problems, offer advice and connect people. He was a helper at heart and took great pride in caring for others, especially his family.
The family would like to express appreciation to the paramedics of the Prattville Fire Department for their skill and professionalism, not only this past Wednesday night, but on numerous other occasions when he needed their assistance.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Prattville or the Prattville Autauga Humane Society.
A visitation for Dick will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Prattville, 138 S Washington St,, Prattville, Alabama 36067, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Garden. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Jankoski, Jay Jankoski, Tylor Weaver, Allen Mills, Allen Herrod and Paul Young.
