He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward Norton Sr. and Thelma Louise Gunter Norton. Robert is survived by his son, Joseph Norton Sr.; daughters, Patricia Jones, Sharon Harrell (Robert), Mary Burleson and grandchildren, Joseph Norton Jr., Christina Jones, Gracie Jones, Amber Harrell, Ashley Harrell and Haley Dutton.
Robert was a good hearted person and was a truck driver for many years.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
