Samuel Wainwright

Samuel Jason Wainwright, age 50, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 1:00 PM -2:00 Pm at Prattville Community Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ricky Smith and Rev. John Colquit officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Donald "Duck" Wainwright and Lois Ann Wainwright and brother, Jones Scott Lamar. He is survived by his brothers, Donald (Shasta) Wainwright, Denny (Cindy) Lamar, Mama Jo Hollon; sister -in-law, Caryn Lamar; step-sister, Donna (Dave) Bromley; nephews, Blake Wainwright, Gabriel Wainwright, Mac (Cayla) Lamar, Taylor (Alli) Lamar, Tyler (Elizabeth) Lamar, Dakota (Rachel) Bromley; nieces, Raven Wainwright, Jayden Wainwright, Chole Ann Wainwright, Sarah Lamar, Austin (Wesley) Hulvey; Jessica Bromley; aunts, Cathleen Cook, Dora Dozier, Geneva Wainwright, Brenda Wainwright, Elnora Cook; Betty (Bubba) Stubbs; uncle, Tom (Kathy) Wainwright and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mac Lamar, Taylor Lamar, Tyler Lamar, Adam Bonds, Mike Morris and Neal Patel. Honorary pallbearers will Tom Wainwright, Bill Tatum, ,Bubba Stubbs, and Ge Patel.
