Shirley Ann Hunt, age 81, of Prattville, Alabama passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie Thomas Hunt and Fanny Geneva McCord Hunt; her brother, Louie Durward Hunt Sr.; and nephew Louie Durward "Butch" Hunt Jr. She is survived by her sister in law, Mary Ann Hunt; niece, Debra Ann Henley; great nieces, Mandi Woods (Todd) and Deanne Hunt Lewis (Jerry); great nephew, Jonathan Hunt (Kristen); as well as great great nieces and nephews, Kevin Hunt, Sidney Lewis, Stormey Lewis (Coleby), Kaitlyn Ellis (Macon), Abby Adams, Sean Adams, Anna Marie Hunt Lewis, Landon Hunt, Hallie Conrad (Chris), and Laramie DeFleron (Peyton).
Shirley worked at Prattville banks for many years. She is known as the "chicken lady" by friends and family. She loved animals, especially cats, as well as eating Chick-Fil-A.
Per her wishes, a direct burial for Shirley will be held Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 1530 Bridge Creek Rd, Prattville, AL 36067.
