He was preceded in death by his son, Hank Ferguson; parents, David H. Ferguson and Katie Story Ferguson and siblings, Camilla Faye Sokol, Steve M. Ferguson and Arthur W. Ferguson. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Mary Ferguson; three sons, Davey Ferguson, Jeremy Ferguson and Brian Ferguson and his daughter, Mary Hall (Daniel); grandchildren, Holland Ferguson, Alexandra Ferguson, Chris Argyle (Amy), Kyle Argyle (Haley) and Jamie Chalke (Akshay) and his sister, Flora Ann Leavitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Walter served in the US Army and was in the Koran War. He retired from the Montgomery Water Works as a Meter Reader Supervisor.
Walter will be missed by his many friends. He had a big heart and gave to many less fortunate than him.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel at 3:00 PM.
