Walter James Wainwright

WAINWRIGHT, Walter James, age 70, passed away at his home Thursday, October 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 12:00pm until 2:00 pm at Prattville Community Church. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in the Wilson Family Cemetery. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Myrtle Wainwright; one daughter, Theresa Wilson; one brother, George Wainwright. He is survived by two sons, Walter "Bubba" Wainwright and John Wainwright; special granddaughter, Heather (Phil) Cosby, Julia Wainwright, Danielle ( Austin) Lewis; one great granddaughter, Addie Cosby; three sisters, Dora (Al) Dozier, Geneva Wainwright and Betty (Bubba) Stubbs; two brothers, Duck Wainwright and Tom (Kathy) Wainwright; one sister-in-law, Brenda C. Wainwright. Pallbearers will be Phil Cosby, Kevin Burrows, Shannon Thompson, Tony Wainwright, Bubba Stubbs, Danny Puckett, Terry Gaines, Duffie Edwards and Lance Gober. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Dozier, Bill Tatum, Tatum Smith, Austin Tatum, Sam Wainwright, Randy Hall, Buddy Buckner and Ed Mullins. Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's Prattville Chapel.
