William Patterson “Billy” Barry, Sr, 68, of Montgomery, passed away December 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his son, William Patterson Barry, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Paula Sims Barry; son, Paul Barry (Lynn); daughter, Elizabeth Sims and his sister, Patricia Barry.
Billy was a graduate of Auburn University and was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was the Senior VP of South Trust Bank and City President of AmeriFirst Bank. He was a board member of Southern Development Council, Inc. and a longtime member of Frazer United Methodist Church.
Services for Billy will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 2:00 in the chapel with the visitation from 12:30 – 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rush Meriwether, Jimmy Rittenour, Joe Hagler, Perry Hooper, Jr., Slade Parrish, Haywood Dozier, John Williams and Wallace Justice.
