COLQUETT, WILLIAM COSTON (BILL), 92 of Prattville, Alabama, went to be with the Lord September 11, 2018 after an extended illness. He was born April 25, 1926 to the late Irma Hydrick Colquett and the late Seale Coston Colquett in Brantley, AL. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Jean McLendon Colquett; sons William T. Colquett (Anita) Prattville AL, Ted Colquett (Jeannie) Birmingham AL; grandchildren William T. Colquett Jr., Laura R. Colquett and David S. Colquett, Prattville, AL; Mary Coston Colquett Bell (Holton) and Elizabeth McLendon Colquett, Birmingham, AL; Brian L. Adams, New York, NY; nieces and nephews and leaves many neighbors and friends in Prattville. He joined the US Army Air Forces when he was 17 in 1943 and separated honorably in December 1952 whereupon he joined the Alabama Air National Guard. He was one of the first members of the 160th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron located at Dannelly Field, Montgomery, AL. where he and L.D. Thomas rolled the first RF51D Mustang into the hanger in 1953. He retired from the Guard December 31, 1984 (civilian) and April 25, 1986 (military). He was a member of First Baptist Church, Prattville, AL and loved the Lord and knew Jesus; the Victory is complete, his faith is now sight. In the twinkling of an eye, we will see him again. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at 10:00AM at First Baptist Church, Prattville, AL. with services to immediately follow at 11:00; burial to be at Prattville Memorial Gardens on Fairview Avenue in Prattville.
