

Albino was born on January 10, 1936, in Lupia, Scigliano, a small town located in the province of Cosenza, Italy. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Filomena, his brothers Carmelo, Giuseppe, Francesco, Mario, Domenico, Emilio, his sisters Maria, Giuditta, Sandrina, and many other relatives.
Albino was the second youngest of 11 children and immigrated to Canada when he was nineteen years old. He worked for CN, lumber mills, in paving, and finally as a locomotive mechanic where he finally retired.
Albino was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, devotion to his family, enduring strength, and his work ethic. Albino enjoyed his garden, loved his family and friends, and volunteered in his community.
Albino will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Algidia Astorino, his children, Johnny (Loredana) Astorino, Roger Astorino, Michael (Natasha) Astorino and his cherished grandchildren Lucas, Matteo, and Alessio Astorino. He is survived by his brother Raimondo and sister-in-law Esterina Astorino, sister-in-law Elfida Astorino, and many nephews, nieces, all other relatives, and many friends. Albino will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His greatest joy was his family, and his love will continue to live through them.
Prayers will be held at Sacred Heart Church, which is located at 887 Patricia Blvd, Prince George, BC, on December 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at the same venue on December 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, which is located at 3300 Memorial Park Lane.
Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Albino’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, and The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, in memory of Albino Astorino.
