It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Barbara Anne Chartrand (nee Miller) has lost her battle with Parkinson’s. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Roger and children; Kevin (Maggie), and Kim (Mike) as well as her adopted children; Kelly, Andrea and Gena, as well as numerous family members and friends. A heartfelt thanks to those family members and friends who provided that extra special help over the last year. Barbara had a tremendous giving spirit, as evident from the numerous individuals she helped over the years, and the charities that she supported. She fought this debilitating disease like a true warrior, no tears, few complaints and never giving up. Her last wish was for all those she loved to keep smiling. No funeral as per her request. There will be an open house on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2-4pm at Barb and Roger’s home, 1250 Bowron Cres for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Society or Prince George Rotary Hospice House.
