He dedicated 27 years to the propane industry, serving in a variety of roles including branch manager, customer service and sales. He later joined Sandman Hotels, where he worked as a Regional Sales Manager, BC North for 18 years before retiring in 2017.
Brian was a devoted and active member of his community. He served as a volunteer firefighter, always ready to lend a hand in times of need, and was a proud and engaged Rotarian for over 30 years, contributing his time and energy to numerous local initiatives and charitable causes. In his leisure time, Brian was a passionate musician with a talent for singing and playing a wide range of instruments, including the piano, accordion, mandolin, banjo, and guitar. He especially loved sharing music with friends and family--often filling gatherings with song and joy. Brian also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and hands-on projects. He found peace in his garden, enjoyment in hours spent tinkering in his garage and a sense of adventure at his gold claim in Wells—a place close to his heart. His annual hunting trips were a beloved tradition, offering meaningful time in nature, quiet reflection and connection with family.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Theresa Mary Shea, Brian’s dedicated family physician, for her exceptional care and unwavering support over the years.
