He is survived by the loves of his life, wife Amber, daughters Kaylen and Hannah and son Carter. Corey also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Additionally, he is remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will deeply miss him.
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Corey recently moved to Prince George in January to bring his family back together under one roof and live on the acreage he had always dreamed of. His last months were spent walking his property daily, identifying all the wildlife sign, waking up early to make lunches for his kids and seeing them off to school. His heart was also mended when he embraced unconditional love from cousins who loved him like a brother.
While on the Island, Corey enjoyed working in remote locations, with no people around. Just a man with his toys (excavators and heavy equipment) playing in the dirt, or hanging on the edge of a cliff. With deep respect and honour, Corey loved hunting and fishing throughout his life, but he loved nothing more than his wife and children and always wondered how he got so lucky.
There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t feel immensely proud and in awe of his children and the beautiful life he created.
