It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Murray McDavid announce his sudden death in hospital in Prince George BC on August 26, 2011.
Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Dale was the son of the late William McDavid and the late Elva (Cooper) McDavid. He is survived by his brother, Robie (Leona) and sister, Glennis (Garth) Nathanson, nephews Timothy McDavid and Robin Nathanson and nieces Jodi McDavid-Brodie and Lindsay Nathanson.
Dale grew up in Flatlands, NB and graduated, in 1974, from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Business Administration. Throughout his career, Dale worked in Ottawa, Nanaimo, Victoria, Yellowknife and Prince George.
Dale was an avid sports fan. In his younger years, he was a hockey player and was an outdoorsman. He was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Lakewood Funeral Home in Prince George. There will be no visitation. A memorial service and burial will take place in Flatlands, New Brunswick at a later date.
In memory of Dale, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
