Born in Hinton Trail, Alberta, David was the sixth of twelve children. He spent his early life on the family farm and throughout B.C. and Alberta before meeting his wife, Jean, and settling in Prince George in 1970. He worked as a scaler at North Central Plywood until his retirement. Once retired, David and Jean enjoyed travelling and cherished the time spent together, especially with their grandchildren.
David is survived by his daughter, Connie Serhan; grandchildren Jared and Jennah; and siblings Doris Langerud, Arthur (Shirley) Sutton, Janet Smith, Dorothy (Richard) McNeal, Earl (Hazel) Sutton, and Kay Wendland. David was predeceased by his loving wife, Jean, in 2011; parents Melvin and Dagmar Sutton; and his siblings Edward Sutton, Raymond Sutton, Marge Bailey, Irene Perry, and Dennis Sutton.
A special and heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff at Parkside Care Home for their care and kindness over the years.
David will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
