She was born on October 7, 1948, in Avlonari, Greece. From a young age, she embodied kindness, integrity, and a quiet resilience that carried her through every joy and challenge. As a child, she learned the art of running a household under the guidance of her mother, who taught her to cook and care deeply for others. After high school, she trained as a primary school teacher, a path that reflected her lifelong commitment to nurturing those around her.
Upon marrying her husband, Dimitrios, she moved to Canada, where they built their life together. Their early years took them through Vancouver, Fort Nelson, and Prince Rupert before they settled in Houston, British Columbia. There, for 35 years, she lived, worked, raised her family, and became a cherished member of the community. She was known for her long daily walks and for dedicating her time and convictions to various charitable organizations.
Those who knew her will remember her for her comforting presence and her unwavering instinct to care for others. She had a remarkable ability to make every person feel looked after, giving fully and without reservation. Her unique sense of humor—a light, unexpected playfulness—brought joy to those fortunate enough to experience it.
Her greatest pride in life was her family. She poured her heart into her children—Vivian, Christos, husband- Dimitrios (Jimmy)—and into her grandchildren, Kat, Mia, and Ashan. She never missed an opportunity to feed, celebrate, or support them, and she extended that same generosity to their friends, who were always welcomed with warmth and a full plate. Her love was steadfast—sometimes expressed openly and tenderly, sometimes quietly and without words—but always present.
She found joy in life’s simple beauties: painting, giving back, caring for others, cooking, walking, and socializing. Whether she was preparing spanakopita or her beloved meatballs, traveling with Jimmy, or lending a helping hand, she approached everything with sincerity and heart.
To all who knew her—whether for a lifetime or a brief moment—her humility was unmistakable. Her presence brought peace, and her spirit uplifted those around her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her children Vivian and Christos (Amber); her grandchildren Ekaterina, Mihalia, and Ashan; her brother George (Maro). She joins in eternal rest her husband Dimitrios (“Jimmy”) and her parents Chrissapho and Dimitris.
A Funeral Service will be held on February 3, 2026 at the Greek Orthodox Church, 511 Tabor Blvd S., at 10:00 am with a luncheon to follow.
Though she is no longer here to hold our hands, her love remains—quietly guiding, comforting, and reminding us that a life lived with kindness is a life that never truly ends.
