Helen you will be sorely missed by myself, and May Johnson, you were her dearest friend at Laurier, in the years since she went to Simon fraser, we were always delighted when you could attend, our families social gatherings. I also remember you from way back when Dayna modeled for us. As has been stated by others I always admired your quick wit, and square shooting from the hip. My condolences to your family, and you will hold a special place in heaven, save a seat for us, till we meet again.

My heart goes out to all family and friends. Thank you Uncle Don for sharing your mother with me. She was one woman with the strength of many. While we would play in her  lawn at the old house on shelley. We were so goofy but she never said so. Grandma Slater will always stay in my memories. Love Deanna Naeth

Rest in Peace Auntie............although I did not get to see you for many years as I moved away from PG I always had each of my Dad's brothers and sisters in my thoughts and my heart.  We had a great time growing up with all of you and I have fond memories of our times together. Auntie Lil always kept me informed of your health and your visits. Have the old movie films of my Dad's of all the parties and you there 
having fun at them............weddings, etc. We did have a lot of fun! We were always at the food table stuffing our faces!

Dear Miss Helen, it was always a joy and a privilege to be in your presents, so sharp of mind and down to earth, so giving, so realistic in your views, we had so many great and wonderful discussions and some of what you said will live in me forever, I am really going to miss  you, each time I gave you a ride it reminded me of the movie "Driving Miss Daisy" you were truly a beautiful flower in my garden life, Rest in Peace.

We are going to miss our fiesty but loving and very caring resident.

I was very saddened to hear of Helen's passing.  She has been a good friend to me over the past 47 years.  I shall miss her many letters and phone calls.  She was such a great lady. My sincere sympathy and condolences to Don, David and their families.
