Ivan Allan Joseph Doucette

August 25, 1950 – July 19, 2025
Obituary of Ivan Allan Joseph Doucette
IN THE CARE OF

Assman's Funeral Chapel

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and all-around friend, Ivan Doucette. Ivan passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the PG Hospice House on July 19th at the age of 74.

Ivan was predeceased by his father Isidore, mother Edna, brothers Garry [who is survived by his wife Leslie] and LeRoy [Dorothy], and sister Lucille [Bill].

He will be forever remembered by his loving wife Darlene and his daughters Brenda and Tracy Cailleaux [Rick] as well as his granddaughters Danielle and Cassidy Cailleaux. As well as many other family members and friends.

Ivan was the youngest of four siblings and grew up in the Island Cache in Prince George. Ivan loved to laugh and was always playing tricks on people or telling jokes to get a laugh.

Throughout his life Ivan had a passion for driving trucks. He had been doing so since the age of 18 and left this world knowing he proudly maintained his Class 1 license. He greatly enjoyed watching hockey and always cheered for the underdog (Vancouver Canucks). He also enjoyed camping with friends and family, golfing, and racing cars.

Ivan was a devoted family man and a fierce friend. He was very personable and would strike up a conversation with anyone. Furthermore, if anyone needed a helping hand, he was always there to help.

Ivan would often say “life is good”. He enjoyed life to the end. Whenever we hear the Doctor Hook song “Sylvia's Mother” and Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline”, we will always think of you. Goodbye my friend. We love you and will all miss you dearly. You will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for being a part of our lives and leaving us with lasting memories. Until we meet again my friend.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
