Jim was born in Vancouver and worked around the province doing different jobs; construction, concrete work and clearing for the WAC Dam powerlines. Jim married Alice in 1970. They moved to Quesnel in 1972 with daughter Pam and had two sons, Jason and Shawn. Jim was hired on at Cariboo Pulp, built their house and led an active life tending the animals on their hobby farm, camping and fishing. Jim took up downhill skiing in his fifties and loved it, going on many ski trips with friends and family. His last trip was this year at the age of 79. In 2000, he became a grandfather and had four grandkids, Rob, Kyle, Alison, and Emily. In 2017, Jim and Alice moved to Prince George to be closer to family. Jim took up playing bridge and kept busy gardening, going to hockey games and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Jim always had a twinkle in his eye and a spring in his step.
