Jean was born in Prince Albert, SK, raised all over the lower mainland and eventually ended up in Tumbler Ridge, BC where she met the love of her life, Bill. She loved her family more than anything else.
Jean spent many years of her life travelling around the province with Bill and her dogs visiting family and meeting new friends along the way. She loved spending time with her family whether It be at reunions or the regular family get togethers. Jean was known for her infectious laugh. She was the strongest, sweetest most stubborn, sassy but amazing people anyone knew. She was a woman of many words, but always gave peace and understanding to any situation.
You took a huge piece of our hearts when you left us, but we are all grateful for the knowledge and love you passed on to all of us. We will miss your beautiful smile. Now you’re at peace, dancing in the sky with the love of your life watching over us.
Jean was a wife and best friend to Bill Lenart; mom to David (Melisa), Frank, Donna (Rick), and Elmer (Cindy); grandma to Devin (Nayra), Jessica, Lindsey, Kayla (Sam), Jesse(Megan), Jeff (Steph), Dan (Erin), Alicia (Kevin), and Chelsea and gigi to Layla, Mila, Robert, Leo, and Kinsley.
Special thanks to the staff of The Hospice House in Prince George whose excellent support helped keep Jean comfortable in her final weeks.
To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do.You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love and you can only guess. How much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown. But now it’s time I traveled on alone. So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, then let your grief by comforted by trust. It's only for awhile that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away, for life goes on, so if you need me, call, and I will come. Though you can't see, or touch me, I’ll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear all my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and say, “Welcome Home.”
