With profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Joan Lillian Richardson (age 82). Joan passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George BC. Joan was born in Petrolia Ontario on June 22, 1937 and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Douglas John Richardson, her sister Erma Perdu and her parents Marion (Ball) and Edgar Brown all of Ridgetown Ontario. Joan is survived by her sister, Karen Lyons of Chatham Ontario.

Joan was the loved and cherished mother of David James South of Fanny Bay BC, Joyce-Lynn Charlton (Dave) of Prince Rupert BC and Wendy Jane South (Pavolini) of Prince George BC.

Gami was devoted and very proud of all her grandchildren and will be deeply missed by Madison, Connor, Hayden, Sam and Renee.

Joan was one of a kind with her beauty, optimism and elegance. Joan touched the lives of everyone she met with her signature style of “it’s a Joan thing.” Her smile, quick-wit, funny stories and amazing laugh will live on with those who knew her.
