Joanne Dale Hohn

Joanne Hohn passed away suddenly at the age of 72 on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in her home in Prince George. Joanne was a long-time resident of Prince George where she worked for many years with the Ministry of Children and Family Development and in post retirement years could be found enjoying her part time work at multiple concerts, games and other major events at the Prince George Civic Centre and CN Centre.

Joanne was well known and had many friends and acquaintances. She loved to travel and took the greatest pleasure in her very close family including her husband Dennis Hohn; her daughter Jennifer (Mike); her wonderful grandsons Hudson and Mackenzie. She is also survived by her daughter Christa Osiowy, who lives out of town; her brother Rob Rant (Ruth); sisters Donna Hooker (Tom) and Dianne Jackson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Joanne was predeceased by her mother Shirley Victoria Dewald; her stepdad Herb; her father Alfred James Whynacht; brothers Razz (Tammy), Dougie and Rickie as well as her 1st husband Dale Osiowy who passed very early in their time together.

The family is planning a Celebration of Joanne’s Life in late Spring/Early Summer in Prince George.

Joanne left us far too soon but not without leaving her loving mark on family, friends and a community she loved.
