Karl Gerhard Baisch, age 79, of Prince George, BC passed away peacefully on June 14, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his sisters, Edith Schenk, Ingrid Buehl and Erika Rigoni; his daughter, Jeanne Pierce; and his granddaughter, Lux Pierce.
Karl was born in Paderborn, Germany and immigrated to Canada with his family when he was in his early teens. He lived in Smithers and Houston, BC before settling down in Prince George where he lived for over 30 years.
Before he retired, Karl was an automotive technician by trade and often spent his spare time working on or building many “projects”. In his younger days, he liked to race cars and snowmobiles and as he got older, he enjoyed touring Canada and the United States on his Harley motorcycle. Karl was also an avid, lifelong electronics enthusiast and often enjoyed tinkering with computers and ham radio.
There will be no service for Karl as per his request, but his family encourages those wishing to honour his memory to make a donation in his name to the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
