Kenneth David Arnett

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth “Dave” David Arnett, affectionately known as “Grandpa Disco,” on February 6, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born on December 6, 1950, in Prince George, BC, Dave’s big heart and endless sense of humour brought joy to all that knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his warmth and light continue to live on in our hearts.

Dave is survived by his wife of 37 years, Anne; his children Jennifer (Shane), Ashley and Tegan (Jeff); grandchildren Jane (Eric), Jesse (Marlo), Trond, Toren, Seren and Brooke; great-grandson Eli; brother Jim, numerous nieces and nephews, honorary grandchildren Payton and Avery, many cousins and friends. Predeceased by his father Ken, mother Violet, brothers Pat and Trevor.

From his playful pranks and infectious laughter to his love of animals, golf and the outdoors, Dave brought joy to everyone around him and made every moment count. He took pride in working with his hands and was always ready to help others. His deep love and devotion to his family were extraordinary and will live on in their hearts forever.

We will celebrate Dave’s life at the Blackburn Community Hall on May 1, 2026, at 11 am. Attendees are encouraged to wear colourful clothing in honour of Dave’s love of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
