Obituary of Larry Glen Barker
IN THE CARE OF

Assman's Funeral Chapel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

Larry Glen Barker was born December 1, 1948 in Midale, Saskatchewan to parents Lloyd and Dora Barker. He passed away at home peacefully with his daughter Candace and son in law Alvin by his side on Sunday October 15, 2023 in Prince George BC.

Larry is predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Dora Barker; sister Donna Hartl; brother in law Don Hartl; niece Debra Hartl and his loving wife Sherry Barker on October 5, 2022. He is missed dearly by his daughter Candace (Alvin); grandsons Adam (Ana), Kole (Madison); great grandson Milo; step daughter Amber and his little Boston terrier Rosie. Larry also leaves behind his brothers Lynden (Marylee), Lyle (Bev) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry spent many years in the logging industry in and around the Prince George area. He eventually changed careers where he spent his final working years as a welder. He had a passion for old trucks and motorcycles. Larry built his first motorcycle in 1973 and his finally creation, his trike, he built in 2018. He also fully restored a cherry red 1962 ford f100 pickup that he was so very proud of. Larry spent many years as an integral part of the Salmon Arm Summer Stomp alongside his friends helping raise money for various charities in and around the Salmon arm area.

At Larry’s request there will be no funeral service. In the summer of 2024, Larry will take his final ride with his friends in Salmon Arm BC with a gathering to follow.
