Michael Wayne Fraser passed away peacefully at his Prince George home, surrounded by family, on his birthday, August 6th. He left this world the same way he came in; fighting. Born in Bracebridge, Muskoka, Ontario in 1944, Michael was a tiny premature baby, the youngest of 8 children to parents Hector and Elizabeth Fraser.
As a boy, he loved westerns and was known to "rustle" the neighbor's cow on more than one occasion. He was happiest out in nature, camping, fishing and hunting. If you knew him you know how kind, generous and funny he was. He was a painter at Canfor for 37 years where he made many lifelong friends. You know who you are. Thank you for being there for him.
He will forever be missed by his loving wife and best friend, Ruth, his sister Eunice of Huntsville Ontario, his children Glen (Wanda) and Pam (Suzanne), his grandchildren, Riley (Miranda), Bailey (Sean), Jeremy, Katie (Colton), Logan & Bailey, and his great grandsons, Grayson & Jaxson. And all of his extended family in both the Fraser and Kemp clans.
If you are ever missing him just look up to the sky and remember his childhood saying, "It's a bird. It's a plane. Nope, it's Michael Wayne." Love you Dad. You were our superman.
Dad didn't want a service, but if you want to honor his memory you can donate to a local school lunch program, or just give someone who's down and out a hand up.
Happy Trails, Mike
