We are saddened to hear of Mike's passing but will always remember him and his wonderful personality, and above all, his love of music and dance, especially the two step!

We loved you and will miss you.  You were a kind and gentle person, so full of life.  You and Auntie Aileen were made for each other - the perfect couple.  There will be a hole in this world without you.  Rest in peace.

So many fond memories of Uncle Mike.  He and Papa George were so very similar.  Always ready with a great big smile and quick to laugh.  I am reminded of a time when Papa and Gran took Jason and I there when we were both very young. Auntie Aileen served us fresh raspberries and cream, which were (and still are) one of my favourite treats.  Jason saw a little spider crawling across one of his berries and pushed the bowl away across the table, grossed out.  Not wanting to waste perfectly good berries just because of a few creepy crawlies, I reached across and proceeded to polish off Jason's bowl as soon as I was done mine.  The reason I am reminded of this story, is because Uncle Mike made sure to remind me about every time I saw him.  It was always a good laugh.

As I got older and learned more about his military past, my respect and admiration only deepened and Remembrance Day held special importance.  I am very proud to have called him family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
