It is with great sadness that the family of Normand Joseph Lavoie, age 63, of Prince George, British Columbia, formerly of La Redemption, QC, announce he passed away quietly on the evening of Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Normand could build anything and fix everything. He always saw the best in everyone, and helping out others brought him immense satisfaction. His work as a heavy-duty mechanic was such an important part of his life, and he missed it a lot.
When he wasn’t at work, he could be found working in the yard, around the farm, or in the woods. He also enjoyed trapping, hunting, and fishing. With Normand, nothing was impossible. He wanted to continue taking care of his family and his home, but sadly, this was his time to go. He will be missed by many.
Normand was predeceased by his parents Aldège and Bibiane. He is survived by his wife Caroline, children Alexandre, Marie-Ève (Jack), and Rafaële, siblings Micheline (Jean-Yves), Patricia, Françoise (Camille), Daniel (Denise), Pauline (Dany), Alexandra, Nancy, Céline, Sylvianne, and many relatives and friends.
Donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
