Pat started life in England in 1943. He came to Canada at the age of 11 in 1954 with his three other siblings at that time. Pat was the oldest of seven children.
Pat was married young and had two children, Sean and Leah. He was married two more times, but the last one was the best one, Angel. Pat also had two step-sons, Jason Gouda and Xiao Feng Lu.
Pat was not afraid of work. He started at a young age, working on farms and delivering newspapers. He then started his career in diesel operation and maintenance on power stations and ships. Then he became a second class engineer of ships which took him up and down the coast of BC and Alaska. He would also spend summers working in the Beaufort Sea, building islands for drilling platforms. He worked his way up to Offshore Superintendent for Beau Drill. Pat dreamed big, from being a rancher, logger, icebreaker owner, performance engine builder for boats, and a quarry owner. He had great ideas, but in the end, he turned to driving trucks to pay the bills. He drove everything from logging to coal to water and plow trucks.
Pat seemed to be allergic to money. He loved fishing and tying flies. He also enjoyed his guns, target shooting, and customizing them. He loved the outdoors and the wilderness.
Pat will be missed dearly by his wife, family, and friends.
Pat leaves behind his wife Angel; sisters Isabel, Shelagh, Colleen, and Cathleen; brother Peter; son Sean (Stacey) and grandson Aidan; daughter Leah and grandson Ryan; and stepsons Jason Gouda and Xiao Feng Lu.
He is predeceased by his brother Cal.
