Forever in our hearts, Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife June Chamberland; his stepchildren Leona (George Turcotte), Verna (Pierre Tremblay), Elaine (Rick MacLeod), Gary Lindstrom and Len (Julie) Lindstrom. He also leaves behind a wonderful and large family of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren--as well as many nieces and nephews. He is survived by one sister Margarite (Helmutt Plattner).
Paul was predeceased by his stepson Gene; daughter in law Simone Lindstrom; granddaughter Sheri Lindstrom; parents Pierre and Ida Chamberland; his siblings Lucie, Rita, Loretta, Fern, Andy and Louise.
Paul was born in Zenon Park, Saskatchewan, the fifth child of Pierre and Ida. As a young man, he worked on the oil rigs and helped his father on the family farm. In 1962, the family sold the farm and moved to Prince George, BC.
Paul excelled as a cat operator--a profession he took great pride in and continued until the day he retired. He met June in 1971 and lovingly joined her family--adding “Dad” to his list of accomplishments. His heart was always with the children and over the years his titles grew to include Grandpa, Great Grandpa and eventually Great Great Grandpa.
Paul provided endless fun, laughter and entertainment to his family and friends. We will forever cherish our memories of him and hold his love close.
Now safe in the arms of Jesus — forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
A Graveside Service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on March 20, 2026, at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow at Bon Voyage Inn, Prince George.
