Richard Andrew Allen

Richard (Rick) Andrew Allen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the age of 62. He is survived by his wife, Darcia Allen, and his children Amanda (Brandon) Lipinski of Prince George, BC and Brandon (Jen) Allen of Dawson Creek, BC; as well as five grandchildren, Emily Lipinski, Ethan Allen, Charles Allen, Lucy Lipinski and Lincoln Allen. Also surviving is his sister, Bonnie Allen (Terri Ehrmantraut), Ron (Angie) Allen, and Brad (Katie) Hough. Rick was predeceased by his father, Richard (Dick) Allen and mother, Gwen Allen.

Rick grew up in Prince George, BC, where he met and married his wife, Darcia. They moved around the province but eventually found themselves back in Prince George.

Rick enjoyed being with his grandchildren and was a big part of their lives. He always took time to hang out with them, whether it be changing diapers, drawing/coloring, teaching them to swim or use tools in his shop, watching SpongeBob, texting, or just being there to listen to their stories. He loved each and every one of his children and grandchildren so very much.

Rick thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping.

Rick was always there for anyone who needed a hand and was often the first one to offer a solution.

He will be missed sorely by his family and two dogs, Max and Abel.

A very special thank you to the doctors and nurses in Emergency and ICU at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia and the Prince George Rotary Hospice House.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for this summer.
