Ruth Mary Cunningham

1917-2011

Granny Ruth passed away peacefully on November 4, 2011 at Simon Fraser Lodge. Predeceased by her husbands: Bill Strom and Walter Cunningham; stepsons: Alf (Laura) and Carl (Jo) Strom. Her parents: Nan and Jack Brown; brother: Buster Brown, infant son: Lars, grandsons: Danny Coulling; sons-in-law: Jack Rebman and George Coulling. She is survived by her brother: Percy Brown of Nanaimo, BC. Granny Ruth will be greatly missed by her children: Evelyn Rebman, Lillian Coulling, Liz O’Rourke (Jim), Billy Strom (Muriel) and Eric Strom (Annette); her 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her great many friends, especially old friends of Willow River.

A Celebration of Granny’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Salvation Army with Captain Neil Wilkinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Simon Fraser Lodge or charity of your choice.
