Hi Susan, I spent my morning talking with you and I can't believe it's been a year. I know today is going to be a hard one for Marc and the boys. I known that as we grew older we weren't in touch the way we once were, but it was nice knowing you were only a phone call away. I still miss you and am crying over the loss. The one good thing about where you are is you are free of that evil disease. I'm very sorry I couldn't make to the spreading of your ashes, as I had major issues to deal with at home. In my heart I was there to send you off and say "till we meet again". I will always love you and you will always be in my heart.

My darling sister Sue, although you are no longer with us, I will cherish our times together and will keep them close to my heart. I miss you and love you.  Looking forward to hearing that beautiful voice again.

Dear Sue, its hard to believe a year has come and gone since you left us.  The loss and heartache I feel is as strong today as it was then.  I still cant look at your picture without breaking down in tears and feeling that hole in my heart that no one will ever fill.  I think of all your successes today, your marriage to Mark, your beautiful children, Eric and Patrick, your music career, getting your degree in social work and your unfettered faith, love and trust for everyone. Its impossible to put into word how much I miss you and all our precious times together.  Times I will cherish and remember until its my time to leave this earth.  I love you and miss you sis.

Susan was a wonderful person and I will miss her a lot. She made a huge difference in my life and the times we spent together almost always ended in discussions about how to make the world a better place. Susan made my part of the world better and I know that her legacy is the difference she made in so many people's lives.

The world has lost a wonderful person. Susan was one of the kindest, most caring, hardworking people that I have ever met. I owe her a lot, for she helped me out quite a bit in the past. You couldn't ask for a better person to go to bat for you. She'll be deeply missed.

To my adorable, sweet, generous, kind, warm, precious lady Sue. I am so heart broken for what you had to go through during this journey. You gave everything and more. I can only express my dearest compassion for your husband and sons. I was so happy to see you for visits. 
You never showed a moment of sadness while in my presence. Through your most struggling time you always thought of others before yourself. Now sweet Sue this is all about you. It is your turn to take what you have been giving to others for so long. Whisper while my girl Sue is comfortably resting.

Susan, I am so very sad.  I wish you peace.  May your family and friends find some comfort in the memories as your life is celebrated.  I will honor you through sharing some of my memories.  We started off as best buddies when we were toddlers.  Inseparable neighbours and friends.  Pretending to be movie stars, we washed our hair with our mothers' expensive perfume!  We mined for "diamonds" in the rock pile in the alley way.  And there were many more adventures riding our tricycles and playing dolls. I remember you singing like Elvis when we had sleepovers.  You were always so brave with a twinkle in your eye and that bright beaming smile.  We stayed in touch through school after you moved away from the old neighborhood.  I still have photos of you and I -- on my tricycle, at my high school graduation, and at my wedding shower.  Oh ya, I just remembered your dog Yogi(?), he also graduated from kindergarten with us!  Sorry we lost touch as our young families grew and we lived in different towns.  Thanks for the many years of friendship and hours of fun.  You are a very special soul!  Susan I will remember you with love.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Sue, you were always someone I admired and even envied at times.   A more devoted mother and wife,  I have yet to meet. Your family always came first no matter what else was going on in your very busy life.  I will miss your laughter and your warm inviting smile.  I am saddened that I will never again hear you break out in song sending shivers down my spine with your beautiful voice.  If I never told you before, I'm so very, very proud of you and what you accomplished in your life while making it appear to be seemingly effortless.  You had compassion for everyone you meet and offered total strangers comfort.  I could depend on you for strength when things in our lives got out of control.  There'll be no one standing by me any more to help carry the burden, but I will truly treasure the times you were there.  Rest well now my darling sister and know that you will always be in my heart and memory until the day I join you in heaven.  I love you Sue.

Susan, I'll miss you. I have a lot of memories to keep me going. In elementary school do you remember Miss Ortman? In you situation it was McCaffrey get back in your stall or McCaffrey in the sinbin! She was the most unique teacher we had. We did a lot of firsts together through out school and after school. We partied together, we did stupid things and smart things together and our friendship continued. Had it not been for you Catherine may never exist. It was through you I met her father. As we got older we went our separate ways, but still remained good friends. I'm so sorry you were stricken with cancer, if I could have changed anything I would have. You will always remain in my heart. Thank you for being the good friend your are. Love you Susan.
