Vlado Kalanj

KALANJ, VLADO April 25, 1965 - January 21, 2014 It is with such heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our son, brother and uncle Vlado (Walter) Kalanj. Vlado was born in Brinje, Croatia and came to Prince George, BC at the age of 5 with his parents and sister. He made his life with family and many friends here in Prince George. He passed away with family by his side on January 21, 2014. He is survived by his forever loving family: parents Mirko & Katica Kalanj, brother Marko Kalanj, sisters Drazenka (Brent) Rouleau, Mariann (John) Rados and Ana Kalanj along with nephew and nieces Luke and Juliana Rouleau, Vesna Rados, and Ava Kalanj. He will be sadly missed by numerous relatives and friends in Canada, Croatia and Australia. Vlado was a devoted son, a caring brother and an extremely proud uncle. He is lovingly remembered for his gentle nature, great smile and desire to help anyone who needed him. A Prayer service will be held for Vlado at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with interment to follow at Prince George Memorial Park Cemetery. We love you Walter, we'll miss you forever and we cherish all of our memories together. May God Bless and keep you in His arms.
