Edward “Eddie” L. Thomas, 46, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
Born May 12, 1972 in Elmhurst, IL he is the son of Donald and Kathleen D. Thomas of Princeton.
Eddie liked NASCAR and motorcycles especially Harley Davidson’s; he played baseball when he was younger; and he could fix anything he was a “jack of all trades”. Eddie was a former employee of Thomas Asphalt Service.
Eddie was a kind and gentle person, who was willing to help anyone in their time of need.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rudy and Doris Rostan; paternal grandparents, Filbert and Virginia Thomas; three uncles, Wesley, Arnold, and Bernard Thomas.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving parents, Donald and Kathleen Thomas of Princeton; three children, Lakan Newman of Bluefield, Brooke Thomas Gore and husband, Cody of Princeton, and Blake Newman of Bluefield; a sister, Denise Gilpin of Princeton; a granddaughter, Chloe Gore; a niece, Kathy Hall and husband, William Beavers of Mooresville, NC; several aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Edward “Eddie” L. Thomas will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Princeton with Pastor A.A. Ross officiating. Following the services Eddie will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
