Emma L. Beckner

Hilltop- Emma L. Beckner, 77, of Princeton, went to rest in the arms of Jesus and be with her mother, father, and siblings on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Genesis Hilltop Center. Born November 6, 1936 in Mercer County she was the daughter of Willie Clyde Beckner and Dora Bell (Lilly) Beckner.

Emma was a homemaker, a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Princeton, WV; Emma was very artistic she loved latch hooking, drawing, coloring, spending time watching tv, and embroidering.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers William Ernest Beckner; Ben Byrd Beckner; Charles Luther Beckner; Robert Austin Beckner; and Donald Dean Beckner; Harry Eugene Beckner; three sisters Mary Alice Collins; Dorothy Elizabeth Snead; and Shirley May Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Margaret Katherine Cole and husband Paul of Princeton, WV with whom she made her home for sixteen years; a host of nieces and nephews and two great nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 31, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. in Princeton, WV, with Reverend Greg Kinzer officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 31, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV.
